2021, Fattoria al Fiore - AP
Apassimento means to dry in the shade. As the name suggests, this is an experimental wine made by fermenting grapes that have been dried in the shade and concentrated. Fermented in a tank for one month, and then squeezed with a basket press. The wine is aged in barrels for one year before being bottled, released after a further year of aging in the bottle. A beautiful medium bodied red.
2022, Vendange (Muscat Bailey A)
Whole bunch carbonic macerated Muscat Bailey A, blended with Syrah and Cabernet Franc. After 6 months grapes were pressed and left to stand before bottling. Rich flavours of blueberry and rosemary.
2019, Fattoria Al Fiore - Rosso (Merlot)
In 2018, Al Fiore were able to harvest the most ripe merlot grapes ever. The taste is velvet tannin, a little bit wild and pleasant astringency. A merlot unlike no other.
